Alae, Hellou, Hallo

To create is more than just producing stuff that people might like or want to purchase. It's a power to make something that can say something, maybe even change the world a little bit. At least, that is what I try to do with my work. So yeah, I'm Emily Serah Jung, and you could say I'm a creative activist.

Working as a creative has been a dream for me as long as I can remember. To achieve that dream, I studied Media Conception in Furtwangen, began working as an Esport Caster back in 2019, and even studied theology for a while. I know theology is a weird one, but hey, that's life.

The thing I really enjoy about working as a creative, or to be more specific, as a writer is that I can't describe it. It has been a passion all my life, a deep desire in me to create. To lose myself in a story, to work on one. To think about what could happen next, or what thematic or character I want to talk about. It's just something that is so strictly centered to my being that I can't really find words to describe it.

But besides writing and working, there are, of course, other things in my life that I love as well. So without further ado, let's dive in.
What the hell do I like? Ah, a fun fact for the start. "Alae" is Elvish and means hello.

Cosplay

You could have guessed it already, but I just love to cosplay. The whole thing started when I was around 12 years old and had been to my first convention, Hanami in Ludwigshafen. Since then, I've been to conventions quite often, and nearly every time, I'm in cosplay. What I specifically love about it is the crafting and acting part. I've built nearly all my cosplays from scratch, myself, together with my dad.

Cooking

There are many things in the world, some could consider perfect, and food has to be one of them. Since my family is bound to a generational long line of restaurant owners, I learned how to cook at an early age. But every great skill has a great downside. Since I know how to cook, my friends always have a reason to pay me a visit. Luckily for them, I will always love to cook for them.

Acting & Modeling

Acting, whether on stage or in front of a camera, goes hand in hand with moderating and cosplaying. And yes, I love it. I try to participate in small stage productions from time to time and also incorporate it into my social media videos. I can't even tell you why; I just really like doing it, and it's been a passion of mine since I was a child.

Gaming

My journey as a geek began back in 2003 when I was 3 years old. My big brother introduced me to Kingdom Hearts Chain of Memories, and with that, doomed my fate forever. Till this day, I'm a huge fan of Kingdom Hearts and Final Fantasy, and it has fueled my desire to work in the industry as well.
