I attended ComicCon Stuttgart as a cosplayer for Dragon Legion. Dragon Legion is a Europe-wide pen and paper network that connects players online and organizes events across Europe. They booked me as a cosplayer for their booth but had not specified which cosplay I should wear. So, of course, I chose my Luna cosplay, learned some sword movements, and was ready to go.
At the booth, my job was to entertain people, engage in conversations, hand out flyers, and just exude a cool and exciting vibe. I believe I succeeded because my mouth was in pain after the weekend. The coolest thing, though, was that many people asked me about my cosplay and where it's from since they couldn't recognize it. I took advantage of this opportunity to talk with them about Luna and her journey, explaining what Stella is and that it will be a book. Many immediately followed me, and some even stayed for a longer chat.
My favorite moments were definitely with the kids who fought with me and were thrilled to go one-on-one with a "trained" swordsman, or at least that's how their parents described me. Another cool thing was that next to our booth, there was a booth for special liquor. They handed out free shots to everyone, and since I was giving them a good time as well, we drank a lot together. It was really funny.
Actually, I didn't see much of the con since my breaks were only 4 hours for the whole weekend at best. So, I just walked through Hall 8, which was more than enough. Why? Because Hall 8 was the artist area, and if there's one thing in this world that I truly love, it has to be art! I talked with so many artists, even bought myself a new piece of self-made earrings, and had the time of my life.
In the evening, I went to the Dragon Legion place to cook together and talk a lot. The only downside was that I lost my phone at the end of day 2, but the super nice guards at the con found it and gave it to me the next day. I hugged them so much, hahahaha, they were overwhelmed by it.
So, yeah, I hope you enjoyed my short review of my adventures at ComicCon Stuttgart, and well, maybe see you there in 2024. Also, a big shoutout to Anni, who was been there with me and carried my panic xD
And yeah here is a picture of me at our booth:D
